In my bachelor's thesis, titled "Little Less Lonely" I explore the topic of "shared apartments." I explore the different types of shared apartments, which I portray in a photo book.

For the project, I traveled throughout Germany to get to know and photograph various shared apartments. I accompanied the residents for one to two days in their daily lives and interviewed them about their shared life. The focus of the work is on the diversity of the different personalities and roommate constellations, but the living space itself was also documented in all its details.

It was important to me to find very different shared apartments, to meet people of all ages and social classes, different characters, and to take time for each of them. To achieve this, I researched extensively to find shared apartments with interesting histories. For example, I visited a shared apartment for seniors, a shared apartment with two young Christian women, and also a typical party-oriented shared apartment from Bavaria.

I received a very warm welcome from everyone, and within a very short time, the residents gave me very intimate insights into their private lives.
